note The first time you start Docker it will pop up a dialog telling you you need an account. You do not need an account. Close the dialog that tells you this: Docker is already running and fully functional. The dialog is a post-startup lie designed to convince you to hand over usage statistics.
Also note that these may not be the most recent versions, but Docker will prompt you to update after installing, so it’s an extra step but only an extra step.
